THE MARK AWARDS'
Sonic Identity
The Long Table
The sound of an industry finally sitting down together. Legends next to newcomers, strategists next to designers, rivals clinking glasses. Every hand that built the work gets a seat.
No pedestals, no pecking order, just people who make things, recognising each other. It’s a reunion for an industry that forgot it was a community. Premium, but no velvet ropes. The energy of collective pride without a single hero at the head of the table.

OUR APPROACH
These three key concepts shaped the sound design and story of our sonic language. These ideas form the foundation of how we captured the essence of The Mark Awards’ personality in sound.
Threads of Conversation
Call-and-response between instruments. Loose, improvisational, but grounded, not an ambient drift. Riffing off what others play, creating musical dialogue where every instrument has a voice. Lighthearted without pretense. This is music that breaks the ice and guides people to ease through conversation, not performance.
An Applause of Instruments
Ensemble celebration where everyone plays together as the room comes alive. Intentional dissonance before resolution, celebrating imperfection while building anticipation. Dynamics that scale from intimate conversation to full fanfare. The last note of a jazz climax, that big ending where everything holds before release.
Always Different, Always Human
Raw, unexpected. Every performance sounds different because it’s played by humans, not programmed. Music designed for live interpretation. Modern but built on classic styles, bold without being elitist. Evidence of humans in every note, the kind of music that brings people together rather than excludes them.
signature track
‘No Strangers Here’ is our signature track that captures the heart of Mark Awards.
Warm, sophisticated, and alive with conversation, the track opens with space, room to breathe, room to talk, room to belong. Loose, improvisational lines weave between piano, synth, guitar, bass, and horns, each instrument listening as much as it plays. Call and response, give and take. No one fighting for space because it’s there naturally. But when the moment calls for it, the energy rises. The builds are joyful, and celebratory, a full room coming alive all at once. Between intimate and celebratory is where the track lives, moving forward without demanding attention, then building into a feeling of collective pride. Littered with unique textures and unexpected moments, it’s sophisticated without being full of itself. Raw, real, and generous.

AUDIO PRODUCTION ASSETS
The ‘stings’ are short audio clips that are designed to be used as transitions or to highlight moments. They are perfect to add a little touch of music to short form content, for introductions to videos or to help cut content together. They were also designed to be used in a live setting when announcing awards or punctuating moments.
MUSIC CHARTS
Music charts translate a sonic identity into something that can be felt in a room. A framework for real musicians to interpret and perform, preserving the soul of the music while leaving room for the spontaneity that makes live performance alive. For Mark Awards, they transform a sonic identity from something you hear into something you experience.
