Pressure Cooker Studios Partners with Africori to Bring Authentic African Voices to The Global Media Industry
In a move that merges a world-class Music and Audio studio, with authentic African musical talent, Pressure Cooker Studios is proud to announce its new partnership with Africori, Africa’s leading digital music licensing and distribution platform.
This collaboration marks a bold step toward reshaping the landscape of sync licensing and production music in Africa. Known for its high-concept, collaborative approach to music and audio for media, Pressure Cooker Studios will now expand its Pressure Music Catalogue with a carefully curated selection of unreleased archive music from Africori’s established artist roster.
With global interest in African genres on the rise, this timely and strategic collaboration will offer the kind of authenticity, emotional resonance and contemporary relevance that clients are increasingly seeking.
Africori’s first wave on the Pressure Music Catalogue shines on 9umba, Ranger, and SjavasaDaDeejay, artists who embody today’s pulse while paving the way for more voices soon to join the movement.

Beyond licensing pre-existing material, the partnership will also see Pressure Cooker working directly with Africori’s artists to continually create and release new music, tailored for media use, that is at the forefront of a new cinematic sound.
“At Pressure Cooker, we’ve always believed that the best way to innovate is to grow talent,” says Brian Little, General Manager of Pressure Cooker Studios. “This partnership allows us to do both: create premium, sync-ready music in collaboration with real artists, while helping those artists tap into new revenue streams and creative opportunities across film, television, advertising, and digital content.”
Both companies share a belief in removing barriers, whether it’s for clients trying to find the perfect track, or for artists aiming to make their mark beyond traditional streaming platforms.
Through this collaboration, clients can gain access to music that is culturally grounded, emotionally impactful, and technically adaptable, while artists are empowered with greater control, transparency, and access to international markets.
Tumi Mogapi, Head of Publishing at Africori says: “We see this partnership as a powerful driver of growth for the African sounds. It opens doors for more investment, infrastructure, and cultural exchange, helping to elevate homegrown talent while preserving the authenticity of our sounds. We’re especially excited about building platforms that empower the next generation of African artists and storytellers to thrive both locally and globally.”
Together, Pressure Cooker Studios and Africori aim to close the gap between the continent’s creative pulse and the world’s biggest storytelling platforms.
