Inspiration Evening: InUwell

Inspiration Under Pressure: Unveiling the Magic of Our Monthly Inspiration Evenings!

This month, we spotlight Kaitlyn du Sart, our exceptionally organised studio administrator. If she had a superpower, it would be ‘respecting the sacred space’, a value she effortlessly upholds. Her Inspiration Evening at InUWell, a facility dedicated to health and well-being, was a perfect reflection of her pursuit of honing in on her superpower, ensuring that our team not only respects our physical sacred space but also their personal sacred space—their minds, and bodies.

We started with a health screening by Abby, a robotic nurse right out of an episode of Westworld, revealing surprising and humbling results. With some of our heart ages surpassing our actual ages, we enthusiastically drank from the “Fountain of Youth,” a refreshing coconut water infused nectar, hoping to drastically improve our results.

A team favourite was the trippy-as-heck projection room, filled with psychedelic scenes and dreamlike visions that left us all in awe. Next up, we practised breathing exercises, trying not to pass out, and ended the evening with art therapy, whether we chose to colour within the lines or embrace our inner Jackson Pollock.

The evening was an incredible journey of mending our minds and bodies, reminding us to focus on our cognitive health and well-being.

Kaitlyn shares some insights about her Inspiration Evening, reflecting on the experience and the impact it had on our team.

What inspired you to choose this month’s activity for your Inspiration Evening?
I was inspired to choose this activity because I wanted to offer something truly unique and unlike anything the team had experienced before. It was important to me to create an event that reflected where I am in my life right now—seeking balance and mindfulness—while also providing an opportunity for the team to step out of their comfort zones.

What was the most memorable moment from your Inspiration Evening?
The most memorable moment was when we entered the immersive room. As we lay there in silence, surrounded by captivating projections on the walls, it felt like we were transported to an entirely different universe. In that stillness, there was a profound sense of connection among us. It was a beautiful and emotional experience to collectively immerse ourselves in that serene environment.

Did any unexpected surprises or highlights occur during the event?
The entire experience was full of surprises. None of us really knew what to expect going in, and that sense of mystery added to the event’s impact. One of the most surprising highlights for me was the overwhelming sense of peace I felt. In our fast-paced industry, finding such tranquillity as a team is rare, and I believe we all truly deserved that moment of calmness.

How did your colleagues react to the activity? Any funny anecdotes to share? The reactions from the heart age measurement activity was really funny. Some of the guys in their 30s were shocked to find out their heart age was closer to 40. Their reactions were priceless—lots of jokes about being on the verge of retirement and needing to change their lifestyles ASAP. It was a hilarious moment that lightened the mood and brought us all some good laughs.

What did you hope team members would take away from the experience?
I hoped the team would leave the experience feeling more connected and centred. My goal was for everyone to remember the importance of maintaining balance and taking moments to simply breathe amidst our busy schedules. I wanted them to realise that it’s essential to pause and reconnect with ourselves and each other.

As we reflect on this unforgettable Inspiration Evening, we extend our thanks to Kaitlyn for hosting such a remarkable evening and for creating a space of calm and rejuvenation amidst our busy lives. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of slowing down, focusing on our inner selves, and embracing the journey towards holistic well-being.

Kaitlyn curated a playlist featuring ‘our own meditative melodies’ from the Pressure Music Catalogue, perfectly capturing the essence of the evening.
Have a listen.
