This past weekend some of our team left the studio early on Friday to head off to Playtopia.
If you’re not sure what Playtopia is and what you missed out on, this is how they describe the festival on their site:
“Founded in 2018, Playtopia is Africa’s first annual destination Indie Games & Immersive Arts festival and conference. It is a gathering of South African and global creators and players, where we celebrate the African “scene”. A place for people to come together to share ideas, connect across continents and disciplines, and to exhibit work.”
Pressure Cooker Studios composer Elben Schutte bravely took the stage on Friday evening to discuss the challenges of composing authentic medieval music for the official soundtrack of Manor Lords as part of the ‘A Maze. Hypertalks!’ led by Thorsten S Wiedemann.
