Compose a modern, action-driven score with strong melodic themes inspired by the heroic tones of a military bugle, using guitars and organic instrumentation to reflect the film’s tone and characters. Design a bombastic, masculine soundscape that balances realism with cinematic innovation. Use ambient sounds to support the story, subtly enhance the action, and stay true to the Sniper franchise while innovating and elevating the sound.
We created a toolkit of live-recorded percussion, organic hits, strings, and voices in our very own 6th floor studio space when it was standing empty before we began construction. From initial sketches, we developed three key themes that served as the foundation for the score, which evolved collaboratively throughout the project.
For the audio, we experimented extensively with gun layers and environments to ensure each character’s weapons felt unique and reflective of their personality. Subliminal sound design enriched the storytelling, using creative mixing and immersive ambient sounds to add depth and subtlety to the action-packed narrative.
